About
"I'm not a software company that added a coaching feature. I'm a coach who finally built the tool I always wished my clients had."
In 2019, while working with a UK sales leader in big tech, I created a five-question framework for 1:1s based on a simple premise of curiosity over conclusion. I've coached leaders and trained organizations in this methodology ever since.
For years, I taught it by hand, one leader and one room at a time. I would hand someone a five-question packet or tell them to keep a shared doc going. And I ran into the same wall every single time. It would work for about three weeks. Then life happened, the doc went stale, and the whole thing quietly died. Not because the framework was wrong, but because a piece of paper and good intentions were never going to make it stick.
The Real 1:1 is that same framework finally built to stick, so an entire organization can run it consistently, not just the leaders who happen to have me in the room.
The Real 1:1 is your tool to stop employees from being blindsided by performance reviews that never should have been a surprise. It finally gives managers a simple, repeatable structure to build trust, coach effectively, and actually make a difference for their people.
